# Memory Dashboard

## Browse saved Memories

Saved Memories appear in the main area of the dashboard. This is where
Memories can be browsed, searched, opened, edited, and managed.

Memories are shown as responsive cards. The layout adjusts to the available
screen size.

## Dashboard controls

The application header shows Memory usage, the theme switch, the notification
bell, a Library link, and the profile menu. Profile, Settings, My Templates,
Docs, and Logout are available from the profile menu.

The workspace toolbar keeps the main actions together:

- **Create Memory** opens the create modal;
- **Memory Bundle** opens the bundle workspace;
- the search field finds saved Memories;
- **Filters** narrows the list;
- **Sort** changes the card order;
- **AI Search** switches between exact text search and meaning-based search.

## Information shown on a card

A Memory card can show:

- a selection checkbox;
- the Memory type, Checkpoint marker, or Operating Rule marker;
- the number of confirmed Connections, when available;
- the title and a preview of the main text;
- a confidence percentage;
- up to three attachments, followed by a count for additional files;
- an optional Project and up to three tags;
- status and sensitivity;
- created and updated dates, plus a due date when one is set;
- the current version and source;
- the **More actions** menu.

Memories created from a Library Template show a Template source label with the
originating version and item name. The label records provenance without making
the private Memory public.

Fields without a value are not shown. Selecting the connection count opens the
related Memories and Subjects.

## Confidence

The confidence percentage helps Memside and connected AI tools identify
Memories that may be useful.

It works in the background and does not need to be adjusted manually.

## Sort Memories

Use the **Sort** menu above the cards. Memories can be ordered by occurred date,
last updated date, due date, or title.

## View and edit

To edit a Memory:

1. Open its **More actions** menu.
2. Select **View / Edit**.
3. Update the required fields.
4. Select or clear the optional **Project** field when needed.
5. Add a change note when useful.
6. Save the changes.

The form changes based on Memory type:

- Standard Memories show title, content, tags, status, dates, sensitivity, and
  attachments. The optional Project field places the Memory in one Project.
- Operating Rules show rule title, instruction, scope, and priority.
- Notes and Tasks can use Checkpoint Preset and Checkpoint Summary.
- Tasks can enable Task Details for progress and continuation information.

Every save creates a new version, so the earlier state remains in History.

## History

Every saved change creates version history.

To open it:

1. Open **More actions**.
2. Select **History**.

History shows earlier versions, saved dates, a summary of changed fields, and
an older content preview. Task Memories can also show changes to progress and
next steps.

## Restore a version

To restore an earlier version:

1. Open **History**.
2. Find the required version.
3. Select **Restore**.

The earlier content becomes a new current version. Existing history is not
removed.

## Archive and complete

**Archive** removes a Memory from the active working list without deleting it.
Use it for information that is finished, paused, or no longer needed in the
main view.

**Completed** marks a Memory, usually a Task, as done. It remains available for
reference.

## Delete a Memory

Deleting a Memory permanently removes it and its version history.

From the app:

1. Open **More actions**.
2. Select **Delete**.
3. Confirm the warning.

AI deletion is optional and controlled in **Settings > AI Permissions**. Even
when it is enabled, each deletion requires explicit confirmation.
