# Usage and metrics

## Account capacity

Memside presents current usage against applicable account limits. Capacity can
include saved Memories and attachment storage.

An account limit currently applies to saved Memories. The applicable capacity
is displayed in **Settings > Usage & Metrics** and may change with future
account plans.

The usage display helps explain why a new Memory, Profile, import, or attachment
cannot be added. Removing eligible private content can make capacity available
again.

To view capacity:

1. Open Memside.
2. Open **Settings**.
3. Select **Usage & Metrics**.
4. Review **Memory quota** and **Storage space**.

## Template download metrics

Creator-facing Library metrics can include:

- complete Template download totals;
- individual file download totals;
- grouped Template names;
- grouped downloaded file names.

**Template downloads** counts complete downloads of owned public Templates.
**File downloads** counts individual file downloads. These values separate a
complete package download from interest in one particular file.

## Find the most downloaded files

1. Open **Settings > Usage & Metrics**.
2. Move to the Library metrics area.
3. Review **Most downloaded files**.
4. Select **Show more** when more than the initial entries are available.

Each entry identifies the file path, Template name, and download count. The list
can help identify the most useful examples, instructions, or reference files.

Example: repeated downloads of `examples/simple-week.md` can indicate that the
example is useful enough to keep prominent and current.

The information is limited to owned Template activity and does not expose
downloader identities. Complete-Template popularity uses authenticated,
privacy-bounded activity rather than raw anonymous page visits.

Metrics do not show downloader names, email addresses, account identifiers, or
the contents of downloaded files.

## Refresh behavior

Recently loaded Library metrics can be reused briefly while moving between
Settings pages. Existing values can remain visible during a refresh so the page
does not return to an empty state unnecessarily.

Metrics are informational and do not change Template ownership, publication,
review, or ranking controls.

## Interpreting the totals

A download count indicates retrieval, not a guaranteed successful outcome or
endorsement. Compare totals over time and keep descriptions, examples, and
release notes accurate. A file with few downloads can still be essential to the
complete Template.
