Connect ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects to Memside through a custom app and OAuth. You do not need to paste a Memside API key into ChatGPT for this flow.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- Sign in to Memside in your browser.
- Use a ChatGPT plan or workspace that provides custom app creation.
- If your account is workspace-managed, an administrator may control access.
Add Memside
Section titled “Add Memside”-
In ChatGPT, open your profile and choose Settings.
-
Open Apps, then Advanced settings.
-
Turn on Developer mode.
-
Choose Create app.
-
Name the app
Memside. -
Set MCP Server URL to:
https://api.memside.com/mcp/ -
Keep Authentication set to OAuth.
-
Create the app.
-
When prompted, sign in to Memside and approve the connection.
Memside should then appear under your enabled apps.
Test the connection
Section titled “Test the connection”Start a new chat, enable Memside if the client asks you to choose apps, and try:
Search my Memside memories for my latest project checkpoint.
Review any request that writes or changes data before approving it.
Disconnect
Section titled “Disconnect”Remove or disconnect Memside from ChatGPT’s app settings. You can also revoke the OAuth connection from Memside settings. Disconnecting does not delete your Memside account or memories.
If setup does not finish, see Troubleshooting.
