Overview

Settings is the control center for the Memside account.

Use it to review profile and usage details, change appearance, import data, connect an AI provider, manage API access, export data, and control permissions.

Profile and usage

The Profile area includes:

username and email;
password and connected sign-in providers;
Memory quota;
attachment storage usage.

Progress bars show how close the account is to each limit. Check this page when a new Memory or file cannot be saved.

Appearance

The Appearance area changes the background style and visual theme. These choices do not affect Memories or account data.

Connectors and imports

The Connectors area provides one-time imports:

Calendar Import accepts an .ics file and creates Memories from events.
Manual Text Importer accepts conversations, documents, and long notes.

Manual Text Import supports an optional title, a large text field, an optional tag, and a split count for creating several Memories. Supported ChatGPT JSON exports can also be converted into readable text.

LLM Configuration

LLM Configuration connects the provider used by the in-app assistant.

Available paths:

Custom (OpenAI-compatible) for hosted providers;
Local (Ollama) for models running on the same computer.

After saving the details, select Test.

Developer and API

The Developer & API area contains:

the Memside MCP server URL;
API keys that can be created and revoked.

The full value of a new API key is shown only once. Save it immediately and do not place it in a shared file.

AI Permissions

AI delete permission controls whether connected AI tools can request permanent Memory deletion.

When it is off, AI deletion is blocked. When it is on, every deletion still requires explicit confirmation.

Data Import and Export

Export options:

CSV for spreadsheets;
Markdown for readable notes.

CSV import:

Download the CSV template.
Add title, content, type, status, sensitivity, tags, and optional dates.
Use DD-MM-YYYY for dates.
Upload the CSV.
Review and confirm the import.

CSV import creates new Memories. It does not overwrite existing Memories.

Legal

The Legal area links to the current Privacy Policy and Terms.

Delete Account

Deleting an account permanently removes the account, saved Memories, and settings. A final confirmation appears before deletion.

This action cannot be undone.
